| Sponsorship — What's IT ALL ABOUT? | |

|
| it's about you!! that's who. | |
| The Bungendore and Braidwood Community Banks® were set up for two specific
reasons. The obvious is to provide secure, broad, banking facilities
that were not currently available in either town to the local businesses
and residents. The second, and less obvious reason, was to provide money in the form of sponsorship, to our local communities. There is no other banking system in the world set up like the Bendigo Community Banks® that can and will provide the level of funds that the Community Banks® provide. This is the strength of Bendigo Community Banks®. In current times, when councils, state and federal governments and other avenues of funding are limited, we can look to our community banks® for sponsorship. If you have the vision, the goal is endless. Below are the projects that have been funded in our area during 2011 and in previous years. Yes, it takes time and effort to change your accounts. Yes, it takes time and effort to bother but the rewards are ongoing and endless. Our community banks® are here to stay and they are here to assist us in getting what we want in our community. Bank with Bendigo and your community, and ultimately you and your family, will enjoy the benefits. Sponsorship money is directly proportional to the amount of money in accounts under management at each branch. The vast majority of current funds under management are held in the Braidwood Community Bank®branch. In recognition of this support the Braidwood community receives sponsorship funding in proportion to the support it gives its Community Bank®. For Bungendore to receive this same level of sponsorship, Bungendore residents and businesses must support their community bank. The Braidwood and Bungendore Community Bank Board regularly receives applications for sponsorship from across the shire. As the profits for each branch can be specifically identified, the Board has now begin to allocate sponsorship between the two communities in direct proportion to the profits generated by each branch. Board members are aware of at least two major projects in the planning phase for Bungendore but if significant funds are sought from the Bungendore branch then they will only be available if significant levels of accounts are held under management at that branch. If the Bungendore community wish to enjoy sponsorship funding at and beyond the level currently enjoyed by the Braidwood community then it is time to call into the Bungendore branch and talk to one of the staff about what banking services you can use. If you are already a customer of either the Braidwood or Bungendore Community Banks then the Board encourages you to join them in spreading the word about the benefits to the community from Community Banking. If you would like to apply for sponsorship for your project or community group from Palerang Financial Services, in the first instance please download the Application Form. When completed, your application should be sent to Allan Donnelly, C/- Bungendore Community Bank® Branch, 1/33 Ellendon Street, Bungendore NSW 2621. Electronic submissions are very welcome and can be sent to Allan at allan@staffordpark.com.au |
