| SPONSORSHIP OF MORE THAN $380,000 GIVEN TO BRAIDWOOD AND BUNGENDORE TO DATE!! |
|
| The Braidwood and Bungendore Community Banks have raised over $250,000 for sponsorship to community groups in these two villages. This money has already been distributed by Palerang Financial Services, the Board for both our Community Banks. The sponsorship pages are currently being updated and soon you will see where the sponsorship dollars have gone. Braidwood residents are more supportive of their community bank than Bungendore residents, hence more sponsorship going to Braidwood. So, get behind your bank and see where it can go. At the end of the Financial Year 2011 Braidwood has received $273,323. At the end of the Financial Year 2011 Bungendore has received $105,741. The sky is the limit when it comes to sponsorship — what do we want? A Civic Centre, an Aged Care Facility, a Sports Centre, anything!! Start the ball rolling and come in and see what your Community Bank can do for you. |

| When it comes to banking the world divides into two groups. The 'me' group sees the world through the eyes of self and self alone. My money, my choices, my benefits. The 'us' group sees the world the same way — except for a subtle and extraordinary difference ... community benefit. The 'us' group has discovered that when people bank together, plan together — individuals do better and the community gets richer at the same time. It's the very best kind of arithmetic. Bendigo Bank has been powering the 'us' groups of Australia for over 150 years, with banking products and services equal to our competitors — but with one very important difference. We recognise U, as in us, as in community. in the end it all comes down to U — and U have a choice. |

| MEET THE TEAM AT BUNGENDORE | |
| CINDY DUFFUS Branch Manager Cindy moved to the area in 2002 with her family. She chose to raise her family in the area due to its positive community spirit and to have the quiet country life. She started her employment with the Bungendore Community Bank® in 2007 because she liked the concept of a Community Bank® and was looking for a more rewarding career. The most enjoyable part of her role is the relationships she has developed with our customers. Being in Bungendore gives her a diverse range of customers from agriculture, public servants and small business. |

| PENNY POORE Customer Service Supervisor Penny Poore (great name for a bank employee!) has been working at the Bungendore Community Bank® for just over a year now. It is a great place to work, where she has seen the results of the Bank’s direct contribution towards projects within our community. Penny's passions are reading, music and cooking. She has contributed book reviews to the local paper over the last couple of years, and is a member of a local book club. Penny is currently teaching her daughters to play piano and feels they will soon surpass her talent! As a family they are involved with the Scout movement which is great fun, with lots of activities organised both local and afar although fair weather camping is more to Penny's liking! |

| ALLAN DONNELLY Director Podiatrist Allan Donnelly was the head of the Bungendore Steering Committee which was formed to bring the Bungendore Community Bank® branch to Bungendore. The Steering Committee worked closely with the Board of the Braidwood Community Bank® branch as it was thought that it was best to open a second branch in Bungendore rather than be independent and so have banking available in the Palerang Shire as a strong, united group. The Steering Committee was therefore made up of two of the Braidwood board members, Wally McLeod and Mark Horan, plus like-minded residents and business owners from Bungendore. Allan's dream was realised after twenty-one months of continual work on the project with the opening on 1 July 2006 of the Bungendore Community Bank® branch. Allan is a podiatrist working in Bungendore, Braidwood, Jerrabomberra nd Garran. He is also active in the delivery of podiatric services in the East Arnhem Region of the Northern Territory and has been numerous times to the communities of Numbulwar, Gapuwiyak, Yirrkala, Milingimbi and Ramingining. Allan is also an accomplished presenter and gives talks and presentations to bush walking clubs, nurses, doctors and at health conferences. Allan's interests include bush walking, mountaineering and fishing and he endeavours to pursue these activities within the constraints of a growing family!! |
