Bungendore now has a Visitors Centre — Bungendore and Region Visitors Centre which is run from Wild Rose Organics in the Village Square, Bungendore (Shop 10/23 Malbon Street). Louise will be able to help you with all manner of tourist information including the Bungendore Village Guide, free Cartoscope maps of the Capital Region and the Shoalhaven Region and brochures from local businesses such as the Bungendore Wood Works Gallery, etc. If you have a phone enquiry you can call on 6238 1422.

Canberra and District Historical Society

We are often asked for assistance in finding out information pertaining to families who lived in the Bungendore area and unfortunately we are unable to help as there is no longer a Bungendore Historical Society in existence. However, anyone interested in discovering more about their family or the Bungendore area in general should contact the Canberra and District Historical Society which is situated in Canberra in the Curtin shopping area. They hold all of the old records of previous Bungendore Historical groups and the staff are very helpful. Membership is $46 for a single member and concessions apply.
